Khalidiya Public Garden
The first major park opened to the general public,
Khalidiya is restricted to women and children. It offers imaginative playgrounds.
Women and childern Parks
1. Al Mishref Chlidren Park
14.5 square hectare in size, it is exclusively
for women and children only. It has 14 electric games and 164 non-electric
ones spread inside it. There is a cafeteria for serving bevearage and snacks.
2. Al-Khalidiya Common Park
It was inaugurated in 1975. Its area is
65,000 square hectare. It is located at the end of Zayed First street.
It has an open space specially for childern who non-electic games. It has
a cafeteria as well as for serving the visitors.
3. The Old Airport Gardens
126,000 square in size, they are supplied with
non-electric games scattered in the garden. There is a fountain of 30 meters
in diameter in the vicinty to Airport Roundabout.
4. The New Airport Park
It lies in the New Airport Area of 72,000 square
meters. It is distinguished by its artificial water falls which add more
beauty to the garden. It has non-electric children games scattered inside
it. It is far from the city centre, so it is secluded place that serves
the neighbouring area.
5. East 42 Park
It is located at the end of the end of the Airport
street of 120,000 square meters. It is distinguished by its natural shape.
It is covered by environmental trees which a wide shadow. The trees are
planted to be like a thick forest. It was called Bowling Forest, then it
was developed to be a common park in 1981 when it was turned into a landscape.
6. Tourism Club Area Park(1)
It lies in the Tourism Club Area of 30,000 square
meters. It has a big mosque and it serves the neighbouring area residents.
7. Tourism Club Area Park(2)
It is very close to the Tourism Club of 8000 square
meters. It is supplied with shades and benches for the visitors.
8. West Cornich Park
It is located square meters. It has a big fountain
of 60m diameter designed to make musical tunes with the water outburst
in the fountain. Therefore, the visitors enjoys the landscapes flowers
and music at the same time. There are two mosques at the ends of the garden.
It is located at the Cornich Road in the vicinity of Al Khalidiya.
9. The Union Park
Small park with one of 10,000 square meters only.
It lies at the end of the Airport Street. Though it is small, it is well
organized. It could be ideal for the family that llikes to spend sometime
far from being disturbed.
10. West 45 Park
60,000 square meters. It lies at end of the Cornich
Road in the vicinity to the Radio Station Antena. It is incorporated in
1985. It is supplied by benches, and a fountain erected in the middle.
11. Wave Barries Gardens
They are of 30,000 square meters. It is situated
in the wave barries area. This area is considered the most important tourism
area in Abu Dhabi. It has been developed by lighting up the road to Boom
Restaurant and many recreation places.
12. Al Nahyan Park
Close to Al Khalidiya Area of 5,000 square meters.
It is like a rest area for the families because of its quietness. It has
a lot of rare trees and flowers.
Common Parks inside Abu Dhabi
1. Abu Dhabi Cornich Parks
It streches along Abu Dhabi Cornich from Sheraton
roundabout to Hilton R/A. It is 140,000 square meters. It is vivid recreation
area for Abu Dhabi dwellers. It is supplied with lots of benches with shades
over. The Cornich Waterfalls add more beauty to the gardens.
2. The Port street Park
It's 60,000 square meters in size. The street
is 45 meters in width and 1.3 kilometers. in length. The street has been
decorated by landscapes,trees,bushes and flowers in addition to a great
number of palm trees. It serves the neighbouring area.
3. Saeed Bin Thanoon Street Park
140,000 square meters 2.2 km in length and 66m
in width. It is like an open landscape. there is a fountain 40m diameter.
A lot of palm trees,ornamental trees and bushes are planted flowers squares.
4. Traffic Street Park( Eastern Road)
It is of 173,000 square meters. It lies on the
eastern side of New Airport Street.
Dubai
Al Mumzar Beach Park
Situated on Al Mumzar Creek at the Dubai Sharjah
border, Mumzar park offers 4 man-made beaches complete with chalets available
for rent for the entire day. The park offers pools, in park transport and
a cafeteria. Open : Sat- Wed 8:00 - 23:00
Admission : Dhs.5.00 per adult, Dhs.30 per car. Children
under 2 free, swimming adullts Dhs.10,children Dhs5. wensday is for woman
and children only.
Creekside Park
A beautiful park along the Dubai Creek between
Al Muktoum and Al Garhoud bridges. the park offers extensive walkways,
playgrounds, special gardens, bicycles, and special recreation areas. It
also offers a cafeteria and various food stalls.
Open: Sat-Wed 8:00- 21:30
Thurs , Fri and holidays 8:00- 21:30
Admission: Dhs 5.00 per adult, Children under 2 Free,
Mini golf Dh 5.00

Dubai Zoo
A small zoo housing a variety of birds, including
flamingos, heron, and parkeets, reptiles and exotic mammals.
Open daily, except Tues, 10:00- 18:00
Admission: Dh 2:00 per adult, Dh 1:00 per child.
Jumairah Beach Corniche
An area of 800 meters of beach front with a play
areas, showers, sheltered picnic tables and swimming.
No restricted hours and no fees.
Mushrif Park
This 124 hectare park combines beautiful
sandy beaches with lifeguards, and lunch restaurant.
Open daily, 8:00- 23:00
Admission Dh 5.00 per person, Dh 20 per vehicle.
Satueday and Sunday is for women and children only.
Safa Park
Established in 1975, this ne of the oldest parks
in Dubai. Although suffered early, extensive damage in a storm, the park
still offer 64 hectares of beautiful, landscaped gardens, play areas, lakes
with paddle boats, and game facilities.
Admission Dh 3 per person
Open daily 8:00- 22:00, Friday 8:00-23:00
Tuesday is for women and children only.
Al Khazzan Park
A small neighborhood park offering an attractive
playground, covered seating and picnic areas it is free and open
daily from 8:00- 22:30 and till 23:30 on Thursday and Friday.
Umm Suqeim Park
A small neighborhood park for women and children
only with lots of play equipment and beautiful view of the beach. Complete
With cafteria. No admission charge.
